March 6, 2017 –China United Television, a major TV station in south China’s Shenzhen province, like most of the Chinese channels, is having ongoing news coverage of the two, week-long National People’s Congress and the CPPCC meetings. Interspersed in their coverage of the Congress are comments by Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche and {EIR} Washington Bureau Chief Bill Jones, based on answers to questions that had been pre-recorded and sent to the station for this purpose. The topics included the importance of the U.S.-China relationship, the significance of the Belt and Road, and the possibility of cooperation with the United States in infrastructure investment.
