He is also author of the consequential book \u201cRedesign the World: A Global Call to Action.\u201d In his presentation to the June 18 \u2013 19 Schiller Institute Conference Mr. Pitroda makes the observation that we live in a society where the purpose of government policy is to benefit power and profit, not planet and people. Economic success is judged not by how many people are lifted out of poverty but by how many billionaires are created and technology is used not for development but for surveillance and war. This type of society is untenable and must change.
