In the opening scene, Don Giovanni kills the Commendatore, who has rushed to avenge the rape of his daughter, Donna Anna. The dying Commendatore, Don Giovanni, and his servant Leporello sing a trio which closes with the famous theme from Beethoven\u2019s \u201cMoonlight\u201d sonata at the moment of the Commendatore\u2019s death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s a five-minute video by Daniel Barenboim in which he demonstrates the connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"5 Minutes On...
